Psychotherapy is a journey. We begin to look carefully and honestly at ourselves. In time, feelings surface and are freed. We change.

We often come to therapy when something feels too painful to bear — a crisis such as loss, bereavement, a failing relationship, or trauma.
At other times there isn’t anything obvious: we may feel flat, unhappy, purposeless, lonely, or frightened.
Seeking help is an expression of hope for something better.
Welcome to my private psychotherapy practice. I offer depth psychotherapy in Abingdon, Oxford, and online.
I provide a warm, supportive space where you can bring your whole self. Together we can explore what is difficult and grow through compassion and challenge.
I began this work in 2016 and draw on over 10 years’ personal experience of helping people in difficulty, my own journey through therapy, and my experience of practising and teaching meditation.
I am accredited by the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). I hold a master’s degree in Mindfulness-Based Core Process Psychotherapy.
I am supported by a senior supervising psychotherapist and by the clinical team at the Karuna Institute. I carry full professional indemnity insurance and, in line with data protection law, I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Since the beginning of my practice, it has been my privilege to witness people grow, heal, and become more alive. To ask a question or arrange a free introductory meeting, please get in touch.

How clients describe our work
“ I found the experience of being really listened to by someone who I trusted and could rely upon transformed my relationship to some of the things that had happened in my past. ”
Student
“ Ben always seems calm, attentive and purposeful. In each session we unravel a little bit more, taking out the knots in the things I’m stuck with. ”
Academic
“ I feel like I’ve become interested in myself again - feel like I have as much right to be here as anyone else. Taking an hour a week to pay attention to what’s actually going on for me has been transforming. ”
